Valedictory Address 2006 >>
Written by: Saschele Titus
A sound is a dynamic that cannot be easily duplicated. It is something that distinguishes itself and so stays with us even after it can no longer be heard. Today, we celebrate the making of a new sound... a sound that will continue to dwell in those who’ve heard it long after they’ve left the presence of the instruments making the sound...

Caribbean Integration: Sports as a Catalyst for Caribbean Integration >>
Written by: Aaron Simon
The economic role of sports is obvious- it brings money into the country. When the Caribbean hosts international events such as the Cricket World Cup in 2007, a great amount of revenue is generated by our country. This revenue is not only generated by those at the top of society, e.g. the hoteliers and travel agencies, but it also trickles down to the “grass roots”, such as the nuts men and the taxi drivers plying their trade in and around the venues.

Caribbean Integration: The Monster and the Hunters (a modern Caribbean Fable) >>
Written by: Aaron Simon
I was inspired to write this fable by the integrated efforts by the region after Hurricane Ivan in 2004. The sight of how successful the region was in helping Grenada to recuperate after such a terrifying event, made me realize how much the region could achieve when they integrate as oppose to approaching problems single handedly.

The farmer was so lazy and laid-back that he never spent time nurturing the animals on the farm. Written by: Bryan Chang
Remember, the longer you carry a grudge, the heavier it becomes. The solution to lift this ‘weight off your shoulders’ is forgiveness. We must have the mindset to ‘forgive and forget’, move on with life and not dwell on these grudges.

What Next? LEADERSHIP: Up close & personal >>
Written by: Corinne Sandy
I think I was so confused by the National Leadership of the country displayed over the past three years due to the political instability caused by the impasse (which arose amidst allegations of corruption and mismanagement within various political parties at the time), that I was developing a cynical attitude toward leaders and leadership.

Upon leaving the boundaries of NORTHGATE COLLEGE, I breathed a sigh of relief and the first thought that came to mind was … FREEEEEEEEDOOOOM!!!!!
However after I had expended all my avenues for debauchery, I was left with the ever-burning question of "what next?”

Valedictory Speech - Awards Ceremony 2003 >>
Written by: Abigail Liverpool
John Amatt, organizer and participant in Canada''s first successful expedition to the summit of Mt Everest once said, “Adventure isn''t hanging on a rope off the side of a mountain. Adventure is an attitude that we must apply to the day to day obstacles of life, facing new challenges, seizing new opportunities, testing our resources against the unknown and in the process, discovering our own unique potential.”
